You have taken a most wonderful flower and placed it where we can see it and appreciate it's beauty. You description of it just endeared this flower to our hearts. This photo is excellent. The colors are vibrant, and the focus is crystal clear.

Deborah,
A beautiful picture of this golden Mexican Hat flower with it's tall cone of pistel & stamens surrounded by it's golden petals that hang around it. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Oh this is a nice one BB. I really like the bright and dramatic yellows against the subtle greens of the background. AH...just now spotted the little guy snooping around on the top of the flower. I hope he is keeping an eye on you. BTW, I am in Lawton, OK right now visiting Fort Sill where I was a young (very) lieutenant and Captain in the Army Field Artillery. Went to old unit area. Geez, it is abandoned and scheduled for demolition. Makes me a little sad. Oh well, life and things change. Oops, got off on a tangent there. Anyway BB this is a great shot ~ Steve BB

LOL...hardly anyone noticed the 'little guy' there BB. You are only the second so good eye! And I enjoy your 'tangents'....can keep track of you that way you know. Thank you so much for checking out my new piece and giving it such a really nice review. Off to Mexico w/in a couple of weeks, yes?? That will help get your mind off them demolishing your old unit area....but I do understand you feeling sad. Anyway, before I get off on a tangent too...lol Thank you BB.

yes I would like BB! Starting this season's firewood and the guy is coming to do the work on my road later this week. Blackberry time too. ...and another month and it will be GULP garden cut down time. My least favorite thing to do. It's always a really busy time of the year.

I cannot see the other ends of my gardens from the house Catmal. They are close to 1/4 mile long on either side of my road...lol there's a LOT of flowers out there. So glad you liked this one...it IS a very cool little flower. I watch it swaying in the breeze and it looks like hundreds of people w/ yellow Sombreros dancing in the sun....lol Thank you so much for having a look and for sharing one of your gold stars w/ it. You're a doll!

I do see the sombrero in the
flower. Its a very nice photo with excellent detail in the petals. Excellent focus and beautifully framed.
The yellow is vibrant and really pops out of the soft green background.
Very nice work.

Oh good Marsha. It always seems so obvious to me that I was really surprised when one reviewer asked what this flower had to do w/ a Mexican Hat...lol Thanks so much for checking out my new piece and giving it such a wonderful review. I do appreciate it.

It's not as clean and neat of a blossom as many of my others GG but believe it or not THIS blossom had not gone by when I photographed it. Thank you for checking it out and I do appreciate the very fine review you've given it.

Witty informative notes!

Vibrant informally arranged petals with a contrasting hairy core.

Verdant backdrop pops out the bright bloom conspicuously.

Great framing with ample marginal spaces all throughout the frame...

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

Oh my! I love the artistry in this photography. Your perfect aperture and green/yellow diffused color that adds oodles of atmosphere to your photography. Your low perspective aiding in your composition. The capture of this RUDBECKIA with it's many petal in all directions and spot on focus and beautiful lighting is stunning. I love the movement created in your scene. Outstanding work with incredible details. Thanks for sharing these wonderful scenes.

Love it Mary Lynn...."....oodles of atmosphere" Exactly what I saw when I was doing up this image. Thank you! That's a very generous and outstanding review you gave my little blossom....topped off w/ a gold star. I do really appreciate both Mary Lynn and am very pleased you enjoyed my little yellow flower image as much as I did putting it together!
