Glad you enjoyed the shot and thanks for your kind review! It is actually a coastline cliff about 15-20 feet high.
Comment from Life is but a dream.
Nikman, a clear, sharp photograph with no trees or shrubs to take away from a very solid and pronounced focal point (the sheep). Your exposure and contrast are excellent, the light is soft and diffused, no harsh shadows showing.
I see they have given him colours and when we traveled through NZ they did the same with their sheep...for the purpose of breeding. It is good you caught those colours for they add interest to the photo.
I think the flow of this is also very appealing...the grass looks like a river flowing down and the foreground is sharp.
I do not mind this side placement, at least he is not in the middle. Try a horizontal flip in PS and see if you like it better the other way.
Gentle sky....like an Irish lullaby. (ok ok ok corny I know ha)

I like the angle you have captured the sheep with it standing on the raised ground which adds a different perspective. The placement of the sheep in the frame
Is well balanced. A lovely nature shot.

It is always nice to see alternate approaches. The simplicity of the everyday life in the open sight is evident here! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

A nice capture with a low vantage point.
Natural colors despite the overcast illumination.
Sharply focused still motion shot.
Photographically speaking, I do believe that its visually appealing to have more space in front than at the back of a subject--for perspective of directional movement.
Cropping a bit of the lower frame negative space won't hurt as those distracting foreground textured elements grab attention from the dirty white mammal...
If that can be presented, I'll give back the half star I deducted...
Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

This is nice Nik. I like how much detail can be seen of this guy's face and coat. His eye stands out very well. The color of the landscape is also attractive. I'd be interested to know what the two out of the ordinary fur colors on his coat are from.

A lovely capture of this sheep in its most natural environment. Wonderful close up view, I really like the curly horn. Beautiful greens with nothing to take away from your main subject.
