It is an impressive looking butterfly you have photographed here Fred, and it looks beautiful in black with the green spots. I also like very much the green foliage as a background, and the butterfly is standing out from it in the most excellent way.

Your photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details, and I also think the exposure is spot on.

I like the format you have cropped the photo into, and I also think the placement of the butterfly within the frame works well. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Wow! Your camera techniques are at work on this beautiful shot of the Graphium agamemnon. The nice sharp focus bring us right into this photo with good lighting and clarity. I like the green color in the butterfly just matches the color in the background leaves. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing. Worthy of a six star. Wow.....stunning capture!

A nice capture of this butterfly. The colors are nicely rendered and the focus is sharp. Placement in the frame is just right. The bright green leaves in the background accent the green in the wings. A good entry for the contest Fred ~ Steve

    I believe you Fred... whenever we go..we see Piano keys...Paperkite, monarch and a few others.
    Will have to check my files to see if I have this one..doubt it though.
    I love the place but their $35 entrance is ridiculously high a person. I was a member and the yr cost was 65.

    I was there many years ago......
    unbelievable: the bf house we have in France costs 8 dollars;

    its insane.. won't renew my membership..they charge for parking on weekends too.. so we go when we have a coupon buy one ...one entrance free.

good contest entry,
I have not seen a butterfly this colour before with such lovely green markings against the bold black, nice detail on the insect set against a natural back drop.
good luck in the contest.
