I like how you create images inside of images. The wolf makes a great eye and I like how you created his fur and the details made with the darker color.

Presentation is creative and unique. Not sure I understand or see the eye. The wolf looks very friendly and happy. I like his expression very much. Highlighting and shading are good. Very imaginative.

Thank you for your nice review and rating. The blue lake behind the wolf is the eye. The wolf is the pupil inside the eye and the trees form an eyebrow. Thanks again

Oh ok! I see it! Sometimes I am off my game. Tried to paint today but too many distractions!

Intriguing title...

Nice compositional style with some repetitive plantation patterns...

Colors are subdued & visually soothing.
Ideal off centered positioning
With more marginal negative space below.

The Rule of Thirds will never go out of style! ;-)

Thanks for sharing!

Wow...thanks for the artist notes. I can SEE your suggested image in your abstract. Cool! Did you begin with that in mind or did it just develop? Now that I see it as a eye that is all I can see.. :D I like the colors and your framing works well for this work of art. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your work.

I started out that way. A portion of my work has hidden ideas like that. Or a double meaning or dual interpretation. Thanks again

Hi Pamela, I really love your amazing imagination and the way you put it to great use in your paintings. This Wolf eye is no exception. totally unique in every way. you have rendered a grand picture with interesting brush strokes in the foreground and a lovely blend of colours to catch the eye. The wolf has a rather mischievious look .. I wonder what he sees... and what his intentions might be... The blue part of the eye is a nice contrasting colour and draws my eye into the centre of your painting. As for the eyebrow.. truly original and works a treat in serving that purpose. The tree line with its refreshing green appeal adds charm to the scene. The mountain in the background which forms the area above the eye, is a good colour and doesn't distract from the vivid blue centre. Its smoother brushstrokes provide a nice variety of texture to your scene, as does the green blended area at the top of your art.. Grand job Pamela.. and a joy to review.. thanks for sharing. cheers mel

The enscarpment is somethign one sees so often in American films, one expects them. Is the bank the wolf is sitting on covered in dead salmon? and he has eaten his fill?

Thank you, Renate for your nice review and rating. I had not thought about eating or salmon. I suppose there could be salmon in the lake but wolves can?t catch them. This is not realistic. It is interesting to see how different people view my work. Thank you for your biewpoint

I am a fan of travel channel, you can see my environment on the present paintings, but I get all sorts of ideas from my favourite channel. I so wanted to come and live in the States..so much country!! so many different environments...

Pam, zowie, what an imagination you have and only after reading your notes do I see what you were getting at and for this I'm giving you 6 stars, for your imaginative mind.

However, I find that the "fur" part of the wolf shows strokes placed haphazardly to me and visually that confuses the eye. Your sky shows a lot of turbulence as well and the grizzly bear sitting there is sweet.
