This angle works nicely to show how far out into the water and across the sand that this pier stretches. I think the unique structure of this one is interesting to study. Your exposure and composition are nice!

A nice shot of this iconic British structure. I always find it hard to know where to crop piers as like you said seem to go on forever. This cropping and angle is good. I especially like the shadows on the sand of the pier as it accentuates the structure. Think it would also have been nice to get the white arches to stand out more against the sky. Using a decade filter in the editor can sometimes do this. Nice shot. Thanks for sharing.

Just noted my comment had been auto corrected. I meant dehaze filter. Sorry.

Not as long as southend pier as its a mile long and has a train on it,last time I was at southport was about 1970 and remember the massive beach, nice town as I remember as well,i like the long perspective in this, would try next time to get a lower shot nearer the pier as well, would give a totally different perspective.

Yes, it is long! And you captured it in a way that really helps the viewer understand that. The diagonal leading line of the pier really draws the viewer into the scene. Very successful and enjoyable to view. Thanks for sharing.

Wow. Thanks for the information on the pier. Can you fish off the pier? It is so cool that it is still standing being that old. nice structure in its natural lighting. Good angle and depth. Very well framed.

What an amazing pier. It looks like it is in great shape for as old as it is. I do like the angle that you shot this in to get the length of the pier. Nice sharp focus that shows the details of the structure.

What a wonderful shot. This pier, being the oldest, is the most regal. The light fixtures are unique. The linear perspective is truly seen in this photo. Excellent work.
