I think this has worked really well and the placement of the figure against the sunset is inspired it adds so much feeling to this scene, great capture of the light on the water and the movement if the waves, great drama in the sky with nice colour, I think this is a very well balanced and well taken photograph with all the elements coming together beautifully . I think this will do really well in the contest.
A pleasure to view

This is an amazing capture! The figure is positioned perfectly in front of the setting sun, and the surf is frozen in a beautiful moment of time as it crashes on the shore. A wonderful entry for the contest!

This is a gorgeous capture. I like how the man is centered in the sun spot and I also like the great colors. The violet is beautiful. Great depth of field. This is great...good luck in the contest!

I really like this photo. It looks like the guy is in deep thought enjoying the sunset. I think the siloette of the man is a nice touch. Great color and clear focus with good cropping. Thanks for sharing.

Don't know the first thing about photography but this seems to be a really good photo. The silhouette against the setting sun is beautiful. The ocean always gives me a peaceful feeling. Susan

Your timing is always perfect in capturing these spectacular Sunset scenes. I like the big rocks and the silhouette of a man standing enjoying the sunset as well. Beautiful rolling waves with a boat in the distance all adding to your beautiful image. My initial impact is the sunset and that gorgeous sky with beautiful colors and nice movement. A very good contender for the Silhouette Contest and good luck. Outstanding photography and thanks for sharing! I love the colors in this!

I cannot think of a better place to walk in the evening then a jetty in the ocean at sunset. The mood of the sea is gentle rolling waves and the fading light of the sun gives the photo a serene feel. The colors are spectacular. Great timing!

It has nothing to do with lemons. It has everything to do with a good shooter who saw an op and took the shot - Kudos

In the top third of this capture I see a darkening sky proud to have vanquished the Sun yet again.

As the sky pushes the sun further into the sea the rays of the retreating Sun give off the last of its energy to enlighten as much of the clouds and sky as time will allow.

In the middle third, a jutting point of land and a lone figure silhouetted against a sky of many colors bare witness to the ancient ritual.

Why is he here? Perhaps mulling over the days travails or giving thanks for being allowed to see this marvel and silently accept the peace of mind and soul being offered.

The bottom third is the anchor for the viewer's eyes. It is cool and soothing for the eyes.

The gentle waves caught in that millisecond of time before the crash are as gems glistening in the subdued light.

I have seen a capture that is evocative and causes one to pause for a bit and just look at it.

A very well composed capture. Good luck in the contest ... B-)) Bob

This is spectacular! WOW for initial impact. Yes it would have been just beautiful without the silhouette, but the inclusion of it adds to the mystery of it and adds a bit of romance as well. I love where and how you shot this, with the foamy surf forefront and the receding sunlight in the distance. Such a great composition of textures, movement, light, color and contrast. I would love to see this blown up to fill out an entire wall! Just fabulous!
