And yet another one of your captures when I have called to my hubby and said to come and look! He said 'WOW... The Hilstrands boat!' without reading your notes. We both absolutely love your posts!!! Thank you so much for sharing them. The quality of your captures is always flawless. What a great addition you are to this site!!

I like the killer name with matching fatal logo! ;-))

Would you ever go on board for free?!?
Subdued illumination casting soft highlights & faint shadows.

Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

Thank you so much! Yes, I would go on board, but not out in the ocean, I heard that this is really awesome inside and even has a 4 man sauna onboard! Thank you for your continued support! It?s greatly valued and appreciated!

Pat,
A beautiful picture of the Time Bandit it's tattered flag blowing in the breeze & it's Skull & cross bones showing signs of rust after the effects of salty sea water, frost & wind on the paintwork. The overcast sky above making a beautiful contrasting backdrop.
Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Hi Pat!
While I've never watched the television program I'm aware of this popular vessel and I'm really enjoying your fine looking photograph of it!
It's an interesting picture and it makes foe quite a 'Good Show'! : )

A very nice shot. The perspective that enables you to show the boat against the sky is superb. It might be more impressive were it not for the notoriety of ship.

Cool Beans. We watch that show once in awhile. This is one big ship. Excellent depth and focus. I admire people who can go out into the ocean in harsh weather and sea sickness. It's a great ship to take pictures of. Love the skull and cross bones.

Quite an interesting name but why the piratical skull and crossbones? Your image is nicely composed, sharp and has fine exposure. Nicely done!

Thank you so much! I suppose they used the skull and crossbones because this is the ship from The Deadliest Catch, they go out in horribly dangerous conditions to fish for King Crab.

Nice shot. Good clarity in the image, interesting subject. If it was there I might have liked seeing more of the lower hull while it is out of the water. If you can get closer I would think there would be a lot of close up shots as well. Well seen.

Thank you! I would have loved to get the entire ship, however they are working on it and there was a lot of unattractive equipment around it. I did get some different shots.

An impressive and well captured shot of this scary pseudo pirate ship the Time Bandit, a fantastic name for such a vessel, with it's big skull and crossbones adorning the bow of the ship in a nod to memories and times past, and the black hull of the boat captured with long DOF and great clarity. The detail is crisp and your vantage point excellent to catch the whole length of the crabbing ship in all its glory, and the contrasting blue cloudy skies above accentuate the looming presence of the Time Bandit further. Great shot, well done :)
