Very nice! I really do like the look of this. It is very interesting. It is also a nice sunset to create this neat looking abstract. I wish you well with your contest.

This is a beautiful photograph. I find it amazing that these stones are lifted and balanced so well. You have captured a brilliant silhouette of them with the sun rising or setting. Very nice job and good luck in the contest.

Hey there, I just found this little beauty in your portfolio.. and I had to pause and review it. Now there is credit to be given to the rock balancers and equally as much credit goes to you with your skilled eye to bring these stones to life in the most wonderful setting nature could offer. Fabulous shot with the perfect angle used to capture a realism that these silhouetted shapes have created in my mind's eye. I can see the painstaking skill and patience that has brought these rocks to their stable well stacked position here on the boardwalk beside the seas. In my mind's eye I see the shapely stack on the left as a female whose head is angled to face the more solid built figure on the right.. whom I shall call the male. The more I stare the more their characteristic features become obvious. The 'female' figure is finely framed with lots of curves and the male has a broader thicker set frame and is in a side facing position looking over towards the female. ok.. enough of my imaginative delights. the left hand rocks are brilliantly balanced with that base rock being the anchor upon which all others are relying upon. and just look at the precarious point upon which those four upper rocks have to contend with . that's brilliant.. no wonder the rock at the top has its ' head' leaning to the side to equalize the load.. The right hand feature seems way more stable yet with precious and accuracy used to support the top rock.. and back to the photographers skills.. what a wonderful position of the sinking ball of fire.. stunning to say the very least. That white circular glow brings total harmony to the silhouetted forms in the foreground. I love the yellow glow that radiates around it and slowly dissipates in that rich red hue that stretches across the distant horizon. it is captivating and the beautiful reflected line of fire sits perfectly between the statues.. as it spreads vertically through the blanket of water below. giving excellent depth of field and accentuating the both the flaming ball of fire and the silhouetted shapes. The surface of water provides a wonderful textural value with its endless ripples flowing with the tide .. Your photo has excellent exposure and the focal point of white brightness draws the eye into the scene and allows the mind to experience the intensity of joy that nature provides. Such a fantastic picture that allows the imagination to flow, the mind to rejoice and the eye to engage in the beauty within. Thank you for sharing my friend. So pleased I discovered this masterpiece in your portfolio.. it ROCKS .. and has been a pure delight to review. best wishes in the contest.. I love it. cheers mel

Oh thank you so much my special friend. I love reading your reviews as I have said many times. I am beginning to see some of the same things you see and am slowly incorporating them into my photography. You have so opened my eyes into taking in the entire scenes that are before me. I was not sure if I should promote this one but you observations and rating helped me to decide to share it with others. I do not care as much about the ratings as much as I want to share a scene that hopefully others my find pleasing. Thank you Mel for your always wonderful review narrative and for you Extra Special Extra Sparkle ~ Me

Absolutely stunning photo that truly catches the attention and commands it. The stone artistry is gorgeous and I loved the story behind it. The silhouetted pillars are perfect and the beautiful background
Accentuates them to the max!
This would make a stunning work of art framed in just the right decor. Excellent capture and best of luck in the competition.

A beautiful image that certainly brings to mind those far away mystical lands although I think this is a common practice in many parts of the world. They make strong silhouettes against the setting sun. Great colors and fine composition.
