I like this inky style portrait of your friend's son - looking very cool in his shades and hat! I liked the colours you used. Great light and shade. You've captured his expression very well. Great composition. Suzanne

That is exact one of the kid's which would like the goldfish character in my opinion. His face impression is stylish, but perfect captured. Proportions and perspective are correct. The painting reminds of street art and cartoons. The cartoon style of the drawing and the colors of the background are perfect and in style with the boy's outfit. I am sure the boy loves his portrait.

This is so well done. I love the background as it is so suitable for a child portrait and really sets off the figure. Your light and shadows are superb. Your letters are perfectly rendered on the shirt. Well done!

This is almost guaranteed to win the contest. It's fantastic! It's like a photo realistic cartoon... if that makes sense. I love the alcohol ink background. I didn't even know that kind of thing existed

wowsers, that is a lovely review to read.... I hope I do have a chance, we will see. I get you on the cartoon/ realistic approach I think my work is more illustrative than painterly so maybe that is what has come through.... who knows ha ha Thank you so much for putting a massive smile on my face
