I am so sorry. I know it is a difficult loss to deal with, especially when so unexpected, and at such a young age. My heart goes out to you. Jackson was a beautiful looking boy. His eyes have such a sweet expression in them. I hope you have a strong support system to help you through your grief. I'm truly sorry.

thank you,, he is missed every day,,I am getting a new puppy at the end of Sept and cannot wait to take photos of him,,I named him Darcy ,,he comes from a long line of agility dogs with great winnings,,,so now I am going to have to get in shape to keep up with him lol,,,

I like this piece. The dog has a fun expression and air about him. It's sad we only get such a short time with our fury friends, I think you did your pet a wonderful honor by making this photo, very cute dog.

This is a good entry into the Dog and Puppy Contest and good luck. Gorgeous portrait of your dog Jackson...so sorry to hear Lise. Your central composition is strong and loving. Superb eye clarity captured his loyal and loving personality. Since the eyes are so sharp just draw you into your photography. Very well photographed with good lighting sharp focus and good details and clarity in your image. The wide aperture has rendered the background soft yet recognizable. Outstanding work and good luck in the contest.

Sorry about your loss. Loosing a dog is loosing a family member. He was really a very sweet boy.
I like how you captured him. His pose and expression shows that he is paying full attention awaiting the next command.

Lise,
A wonderful portrait f your beloved & not to be forgotten Jackson, you recently lost lively & very handsome Jack Russell Terrier watching you closely trying to read your mind while admiring his reflection in your lens. They are everything a Dog should be with a great personality, VERY loyal & full of life. I hope you very soon find another Dog Shaped Personality to fill the Void but NOT replace Jackson, who will live in your heart for ages more. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with love & superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Madame Juno~Dog sends you her Doggy greetings,
Good luck in the contest.
Susan

I missed your amusing posts with equally interesting poses.
A cute & candid capture!!
Dramatic interplay between lights and shades.

Fine facial features & smooth coat textures.

Please don't crop paws or joints.

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

Aww, so sad to hear about that...

Nice clear photo of a darling subject! My issue is with the cropping on the left hitting where it does. I would crop down to the chest and head and just focus on the beautiful dog's face and shoulders... Thanks for sharing, Daphne Oberon
