The tranquility in the face and expression of the man is so realistic. It is like he is waiting to go home, missing his daughter yet not wanting her to morn. The communication of the title, is spot on. Great job.

I always am intrigued by and love your art work. I haven't yet gone to see the music video, but this particular image is very emotional for me as I have recently lost my husband of 44 years. So this image tugs at my heart a bit.
Nicely done.

Sorry for your loss..well if you don't like to go to YouTube, you can go to Fanmusic and search me "MKFlood" and check out some of them there. I worked with a couple musicians on a few of the videos.. thanks for the great review

Waterworks at the bedside. I can't wait to experience the final video. A nice perspective that shows how it's really about the old guy. I can relate to that.

I know the song. Lol
This is such a sad painting. Yet so perfectly painted. The color is so well done.
Her hair is so detailed also.
And his face is also so detailed.
Great job.

I love the emotion in this artwork. The emotion is almost tangible.

The skin tones look great. You achieved the appearance of wrinkles appropriately.

I enjoy the use of the green on her shirt also.

Its hard to believe you used sharpies. Nice job!

This is one of your best drawings. Although the woman (daughter maybe?) is in distress, the contentment on the patient's face is telling. He looks optimistic about the future, whatever is it. I like the way you treated the foreground and background.

Excellent cartoon, Mark, showing the sad daughter watching her father perhaps fading away in his hospital bed with him telling her not to cry. Excellent detail as always with your Sharpies and great use of colours telling a very emotive story. Suzanne

The song can't possibly be 'Don't Stop Believin' by Journey, can it? You couldn't possibly be giving us a hint that obvious! Anyway, this is a very nicely drawn scene of a sad moment. I see a lot of pointillism in this one, and you did a great job on the facial expressions.

Nope..I already have a "Don't stop believing" video. Your welcome to check it out on YouTube.com under "MKFlood Presents"..this song is current and did I throw any hints out there? Oh yeah..I should have asked the 2 who guessed it..what gave it away.. the illustrations or did they catch the hints. The many videos I have done in the past it does tickle me when I hear.."I remember reviewing it and after watching the video all the illustrations make sense now!"..wink.. thanks for the great review.

Ahh, if the song is current I probably haven't heard it. Musically, I'm stuck in the 60's-80's, with maybe a few 90's.

I love this piece. It's very beautiful. The colors mesh quite well with one another and I enjoy how the one person is looking at the other and it's like they're saying it's all going to be okay.

the blue window behind the blue eyed lady works well .the down turn at the corner of her lips & the slump of the shoulders say sad , the guys face seems a bit as your title says " no reason to cry " the colour tones and blending is very talented work . The white hair is perfect . & a few wrinkles on the face never hurt . nice work thanks for view
