a very interesting image of the ostrich going across the road, got him with a foot up, like the distance you can see, very good details and colors and depth, a pleasure to look at. thank you for sharing, dale

Good title.
This scene reminds me of the cartoon "roadrunner" I used to watch as a child.
Good thing he doesn't have to hurry.
Great dimension and depth displayed with the background of the mountains and tundra.
Well captured!

Very nice dark color of the ostrich against such a tan and brown tone landscape and road. Makes it stand out. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I wonder if they taste like chicken? Just curious. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this ostrich on the road is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Great shot of this ostrich taking it's time crossing the road, probably figured it had the right of way and that you could wait! At least you were able to get this nice photo, like the starkness of the landscape and the pop of blue sky that adds a pop of color to this scene!

Wonderful capture of the ostrich crossing the road! Detail is wonderful and my own personal opinion, I would of liked to seen the sky a little more blue. But that is just my preference, lol. Lovely picture and I like how it also shows the large vastness of the area! Thank you for sharing! :) Jill

Even though it isn't paved this road seems to be in better shape than many in Michigan. I like the slope of the mountains and the desolate look of this beautiful setting.

Such a colorful and interesting bird. Maybe he needs a chiropractic adjustment -- looks a bit out of step there... How do these big-bodied birds get enough to eat in that stark environment? The washboard road did not escape me; makes my teeth chatter to think of driving over it! Great photo of this kind of landscape! Daphne Oberon

Surprising. They are supposed to be real speedsters among the birds! and can outrun some animals also. The heat must have bogged him down! Or may be he wanted you to take a good picture of him. Mission accomplished! Thanks for sharing!

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this Ostrich sauntering across the main road in Namibia with not a care in it's head except it's next meal & maybe a mate. the rocky mountains & dunes ahead of it making a perfect backdrop. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
