Sometimes I think we want to please the reviewers so much we forget, we do this for our enjoyment. I love one a new bird shows up in my yard. I like the color of the bird, the tones are interesting. Doesn't God do the neatest paint jobs.

I wish I could share my testimony on how I started taking photos.

The bottom two shots are pretty clear. How exciting to see this bird for the first time. He does have nice markings and attractive colors. His body colors resemble your goldfinch, only situated in different locations.

    Grace,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this unusual visitor to my garden.
The director of Birdwatch Ireland said they were good enough to make an Identity & he was jealous as no Brambling has visited his garden. I looked up the distribution & found they spread across northern Europe into Asia & over to Alaska & parts of Canada. It resembles out Chaffinch among whom it flies around with. The thing that alerted me was his dark head that the Chaffinch lacks.

    Very nice!

All the photos are focused well except for the top right which appears a little fuzzy, but not sure if you were using the zoom or not. Sometimes while zooming it can get out of focus. It's a pretty bird. Lighting is good. Enjoyed seeing him.

    Julie,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this collage of the Brambling in my garden for the first time. The top left was my first picture & what made me think it was NOT a Chaffinch with it's dark almost hidden head. The top right I though I'd got it well focused & the So-in-so moved as I clicked as it dis in the bottom left but not as much the best is the bottem left but you can't see it's face....I was going to discard this but well the Director of Birdwatch Ireland praised it, I took a chance & posted it.

Ireland is somewhere I've always wanted to see. My husband has Irish heritage and probably has relatives still somewhere in Ireland. We haven't traced them yet. Who knows maybe someday!

Cool,Susan!
It's an avian creature that we'll probably never see 'in the flesh' over here in the northern United States then! : )
I always enjoy your collage type creations and this interesting one looks Great in my opinion!

    Sean,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this uncommon visitor to my garden, this was the first & only time I've ever seen one.
I've just looked up to see if they are seen in the USA...you'd have to go up to Alaska or parts of Canada to see one.

Nice notes, but in the two upper photos the bird is totally blur and out of focus and this takes from the initial impact

the two in the bottom are good and nice to watch

thanks for sharing

Your lovely collage tells a nice story of the bird's first visit to your yard! Nice light and color. The bottom two photos have good sharpness. The top two are not as sharp but still give us a nice look at the bird.
