A beautiful painting that captures the essence of this tall, thin African cat. I like the tall ears and the smile on his face. Nicely composed with very good colors.

This is very well done, Cleo. I think Serval cats are quite elegant looking with their slender bodies and long ears. Their leopard like spots are very attractive. I like the delicate background you created as it adds to the sense of elegance in this scene.

Hi Cleo, I think this cat is the most slender cat I've ever seen. it also seems to have very long legs and a long neck. I know I've seen these on PBS's Nature show but I'd forgotten how the cat looked. Very Nice job with the cat and I like the way your imagination created the background. Very Nicely Done! :o) Nancy

This is a wonderful digital painting of the wild cat! Have't seen one so far in my life!:) . The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Have seen these at our local zoo and tried hard to get photograph but they like to hide - I enjoy viewing your artwork as you have blended the colors well in background making the cat really pop out. Details on the cat are excellent.

EyeCATching wildlife creation.
AriatoCATic pose but with a cheerful face.
Nce colr contrast despite the low lit illumination.

Tall format suits well...jst tad tight on the lower frame...

Fantabulous digital rendition!

Thanks for sharing...

Great detail up close and nice blurred background. I do this in some of my paintings, too, trying to give the perspective of focusing with a camera lens. I would maybe like the orange to he a little more vibrant, but I admit I don't know what the real cat would look like. The facial detail is amazing.

The orange color of the fur is as dull as shown in the painting.

It's great! Would love to see more texture on the fur. But otherwise very proportionate and realistic, particularly the face. Also, more scenery in the backdrop could really bring the picture to life.

Thank you very much four your kind review and your input. The hazyness in the backgrounde is intended. I did not define the background in order to emphasize the cat. :o)

Use of small brushes has given the cat's fur a soft luscious appearance. Love the tall stature you have given this proud animal. Great technique and imagination in the background. Happy New Year!
