Thank you! They are much smaller and faster than the greys - and I think they are cuter too :)

What a beautiful little guy. The color in this is wonderful and actually seems to be a theme color with the branches as well. Such clear and concise shot, I can see his little feel holding on.

It's a wonder it stopped long enough for you to get this great photo! Yes,they do seem to be hyperactive, and at times can be rather annoying. This one looks quite cute as it stands up,nicely framed by branches, with a nice clear view of it's face.Good focus with natural tones,a really enjoyable shot!

Love this shot, Gracie. He is so cute. His pose does indeed make this more interesting than the standard squirrel photo. You captured the lovely auburn colors of his head. I really like that he is surrounded by all of the twigs. Some may be tempted to clone out some of the branches but, I love that you left them in. Makes for a really fun image to view.

Thank you very much Donna! I thought about cloning the branches in front of him but I decided they weren't too much of a distraction and maybe it accentuates his standing on a branch pose :)

We have quite a few red squirrels living in our part of the UK too! Your slightly off-centre composition offers us an enjoyable look at your visitor. Its not often I get to see so much underbelly as in the pose you captured! Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done!

Thank you! I like their white tummy fur :)

Lovely standing pose. You have captured his reddish brown colors against the darker brown of the branches that he stands on.Also, the trunk of the tree, behind him, is a supporting vertical for his own.
Cordially,

I think they ARE 'hyperactive',Grace, but there must be some sort of an Evolutionary Advantage to that behavioral trait that does them a lot of good!
: )
Your picture of this observant specimen looks Great,my friend! : )

Thank you Sean! I'm sure it helps them to outrun their predators. I think their size makes them susceptible to many larger animals, so I am glad they have the advantage of being crazy fast little critters.

It's Evolution in Action,Grace! : )
You're very welcome,my friend!

Thank you very much! I was hoping the branches weren't too distracting, but I wanted to show that he was standing on a branch.

I didn't find the branches distracting in any way . a natural scene cheers

I agree that this curious little squirrel is very cute! You captured a great pose. I like the expression on his face and the way he's holding his paws in front of his body. The light and colors are lovely.

Awe, he's standing up on his hind legs with his tiny paws held close to his chest like he is negotiating , too cute! The little red squirrel has the cutest face, I sneak peanuts out for them, husband tells me not to encourage them but I can't resist! This is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear to view, exposure is well managed, colors and tones are natural.well composed and presented!

Hahaha! You're naughty! I have to feed them too. Just can't go overboard or the grey squirrels come in and start gnawing on everything in sight!
