I saw this photo when I voted in the contest, and I immediately fell for this little fellow. Herbert is so cute that he could melt a heart of stone, and what a pose. You could not have taken a better photograph of him. He is also standing out so well against the nicely softened background.

Your photo is of course also sharp with clear and well defined details, and the textures of the fur are well captured. The exposure is perfect.

The tight cropping has worked so well, and Herbert is well placed within the frame. Indeed a sweet and well taken photo Neil, and with an excellent DOF. If I had any 6 stars left, one of them would go to this photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Oh my, this is the epitome of cuteness! What a great close up and sleepy little face. Your exposure is very nice with great clarity that shows off the details of the fur and face so nicely, as well as the fur colors.

Neil,
A brilliant picture of your beloved Bedlington Terrier Herbert resting his chin on the bench eyes fixed on you partially hidden behind his curly coat slightly damp from running about on your lawn. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
