Curiousity as to what this item is, made me chose it. You obviously take photography very seriously. beautifully pictured, with the tree given some clue as to the identity of these items. I like you, have painted all my life, but only now that I have retired in my seventies can I paint to my heart's content, but my eye sight is failing badly so I have changed my style from delicate small A4 paintings, to large, bright acrylics! It crossed my mine whether eyesight matters for a photographer, but ofcourse it does.

Now these are probably the most unusual thing I have seen hanging from a tree! I appreciate your interesting notes. These remind me of mineral rocks with the shape and color. The rich colors looks great and so the needles on the tree. I really like how unique this image is and how strange these galls are.

Thank you so much Pat. I had never seen anything like it either. My stepmother explained to me what they were.

I have seen several different galls but have never stopped to photograph them. It seems they vary considerably depending on the species of tree they are on. A fine shot with good details and excellent colors.
