nice show of the bird, but you have to take in mind of what is in the background, the branch on the right looks like it is growing from the bird head and this is a distraction

Pretty little blue tit with a drop of water on its head,well,placed in the frame facing forward but it turned its head allowing a nice side profile of the face I like the open beak! This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed in the sunlight, colors and tones are natural, nice detail in feathers, face and beak, good eye contact. Well composed and presented!

What exactly do you mean by dull?
The colours are natural in dappled sunlight and shadow. Dublin is not in the Tropics.

You are from Dublin. I love that country. I once spent 5 weeks in Dunmore East with some friends. I long to go back sometime again. You got an awesome country.

The sunlight was very bright so I had to darken the picture to reduce the burnt out spots.
