I like the grand feathery textures in this design! I like the color combinations and how great they work together. The dark center is a good contrast for the design and gives it more of a flowery appearance.

Very very cool. I love how you created this. I wish my puppy seeds for these jagged fringed poppies had sprouted last year. I gave them perfect environment: sandy loose soil, bright sun and water. No poppys. I love the various kinds of poppys, they are usually so abundant. I love the way in which you achieve your designs. I hope your family fared well in yesterday's tragedy in NZ.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Thankfully my family now live in Australia but it was an awful tragedy for those in Christchurch. I too love Oriental Poppies and did have some in a previous garden but haven't any in my present one. Suzanne

I think you are the only artist who uses cocktail sticks as tools. You created an artwork where the petals of the flower seem to be panted with brushes. The tight framing works well. I like the feathery petals and how their colors are variegating in a range from blue to purple and brown, accentuated with black and white.

Hi Suzanne, this is gorgeous! It's so soft and frilly looking ! I love the pinks whites , red, black and that touch of blue that are forming this fancy flower with feathers petals and the dark center! I love the way this fills the frame, this is very well arranged and presented! I love it!

Even though it's not blue (haha!) I do like this one a lot. With the black center it does remind me of a poppy, and the frilly structure of the petals does make it look exotic or oriental. Very nice mixture of colors, going from dark red to white with many shades of red-pink in between. (and of course, the tiny splashes of blue!) Very pretty!
