This is a great image! Your white balance and exposure are great. I like how you captured the blowing snow and the moose is a great subject to help show off the snow! Sounds like it was a long and arduous drive :)

before reading your notes, I thought it was a real moose who entered your garden and was waiting until you'll take his portrait; lol;
a beautiful apparently real size wooden sculpture; a huge amount of snow with still falling snow while we had temperatures of 15-16°C.
and if you don't like all this snow, it will help you dreaming more often about your next trip to Kardamili.

Annie, your clarity is wonderful, even with the snow flying all around, it certainly shows the kind of weather you had to brave that day.

Glad the day turned out well for you :)

Great look at this beautiful sculpture! I like the way the snow is piled up on his head and antlers. The falling snow shows up very well. It looks like it was very windy too because the snow appears to be almost falling sideways.

I was in Oslo in December. Bitterly cold but no snow. This was some years ago. This moose at first looked like a real moose in someone's fenced backyard. I wondered how he got in there without knocking the fence down. Then I thought he was a taxidermy. But upon a closer examination I think he is a wood carving. The biggest wood carving I've ever seen. I've seen large ones that people up here do with chainsaws...amazing stuff. Otherwise, that moose has been standing there a long time with no tracks in the snow. He must be snowed in. Tak!

    Thank you so very much for the lovely review Kari, and it is nice to hear that you have visited my home city. I think the moose was wood carved as well, and it was life size.

This is interesting. The moose I mean! You are paying the price of living in Norway. I have grown to hate snow. It wont be long at all before I have to start using my lawn mower. I bet the food is good here. I know you are going to be gone someplace soon. Greece again?

    Thank you so very much for the lovely review Willie. I am not so fond of cold weather either, and this is one of the reasons I go to Greece. Not until August though.

The moose is nicely framed in this picture. It is a chilly picture to say the least and if the moose were alive I would feel badly for him. I think you capture what we might think of Norway in the winter!

Well planned and taken. I assumed it was a statue, but wasn't sure. Good focus and well done shot. I love the falling and blowing snow that streaks across the image. The piled up snow on the antlers is amusing, keep waiting for him to shake it off. Good color and definition. Well seen.

This is a great shot of the moose statue and the snow! It looks so cold there! It has been like that a lot here in New York this year too! The focus is very good! The stop action on the snow is great! The color and lighting are very good! Great job and thanks for sharing! Lori

Moose and snow just go together and this one is covered just enough to make this a interesting photo. It is a wonderful sculpture and well done. It looks life like and that is great. Nice lighting and focus and i like how you captured the snow falling as well. Hope you enjoyed your food . Great cropping and very well framed.
