Lovely capture of this. Bird and to get it in such a dramatic and action shot is well done. Expression captured is good and the the lighting and detail is good as well, great as always

Thank you very much :)

Very nice photo. I like that you caught it in flight so nicely. It's nice to have shallow depth of field to make your subject standout. Don't you wish they'd just hang in the air without moving so you could pose them? Keep at it.

I see that your nuthatch has found something to eat! Another great photo of him in flight,giving us a great look at his well focused wings,especially the underside.Nicely framed,he"s got room to fly into,excellent exposure and natural colors throughout! Keep my fingers crossed for a nice head on in flight shot!

I am copying your style now Greenie! ;) I finally got an "Envision" bird capture! Oh and I posted it after I saw this shot! Why? Because I CAN!!
LOL
So I wish I had a remote when out at the wetlands so I can hit pause to get the best stop action and perfect background.
Nice view of those wings and another fine Unique bird capture from you and your Tonka :)

Great capture of this pretty Nuthatch, Grace, as he flies away. I like how the wings look like a cape flowing out behind him. Very good lighting and focus showing excellent detail in his markings. Great composition. Suzanne

Great shot. It may not be full face, but I think this one brings character. I slight profile as though he is giving you a sideways glance to make sure you are photographing his beautiful array of feathers and perfect flight form.

He may keep hiding his face but I don't think I've ever seen a bird in that pose. Very interesting - it captures the action of his wings.

you did it once again! I wonder how do you proceed to get such wonderful stop actions with the display of the wings;
good framing and sharp focus; of course, next time you'll get a better face capture;
