Lovely bird in the black and white feathers. The Cormorant with the inquisitive face and clear yellowish beak (from your skilled photography) is adorable. The background is nicely blurred making the cormorant pop even more.

A wonderful nature capture that shows exciting depth in the blurred background and well defined bird. The natural colors and tones are balanced and pleasing. A well shot photograph!

This bird portrait is intriguing. The Little Pied Cormorant is lovely. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The soft background emphasizes the bird nicely. The bird is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

This little Pied Cormorant is truly sweet, and it is posing for you in such a lovely way. I think especially the shiny eye is well captured, and I also think the light is falling on the bird in such a lovely way. The light green background looks very delicate, and the bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.

The photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. Both the white balance and exposure is spot on.

The format and framing is perfect, and the bird has got a very good placement a bit off to the right. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Mary, and with an excellent DOF.

A 6 stars shot, but I have run out.

This is a very well focused wildlife portrait. I am interested to learn that this is a common cormorant in your area because I actually don't think I have seen a picture of this type before. This is a cute little fellow with very pleasing pied markings, eye and face. Thanks for sharing!

A beautifuo presentation again with a special bird haveing such beautiful color combination and your reaction was more than perfect as we can see that he/she is concentrated on a place and asking inside what that means - lol - therefore it is outstanding and special
super-technical applications - well done

Beautiful capture Mary :)
You handled white balance well on both the black and white.
Your focus is sharp with fine DOF. High shutter low F/stop ;)
I would only suggest you lighten the eye a bit more.
Really nice work with settings :)

Nice close-up of this fellow with his cocky expression and pose. Never seen a pied cormorant before, so your description was illuminating. Thanks for sharing this!

Beautiful click of this pied cormorant. Portrait mode with vivid details. I love the soft subtle green background which allows the bird to get highlighted fully and then it's a crisp focus click. Kudos
