Interesting function and commentary. Inquisitive nice bird. The background is blurred well too. Regular bark seen some, mossy bark quite clearly. Busy but nice.

Hi Mary, The only thing I would change in the shot is that yellow branch. I would have cloned it out! The shot is wonderful otherwise. You had a lovely little window to capture this bird. Knowing the bird is hard to spot makes the image special. I can imagine how happy you were that you were able to capture him. Nice focus on the bird and pretty good lighting too. Thanks for sharing! :o) Nancy

    Thanks Nancy did think about cloning it but besides being hopeless at editing decided to show the complex area to try and spot him :)

COOL,Mary! : )
I've never Seen one or Heard one,my friend,but I certainly am happy to see your enjoyably interesting photo of this one!
It's a 'Good Show' of a picture in my opinion!

as you indicate, you were very fortunate indeed to capture this treekeeper with the head in a sunbeam, resulting in an excellent close up with very sharp details;

    Thanks Fred, have heard them so often during my walks in bush.

A very nice shot, especially considering the reclusive nature of your subject. The bird is nicely framed by the branches and yet is shown in very nice detail.

Mary,
A very beautiful picture of the normally elusive Treecreeper caught in a sunbeam as it perches on the rough lichen patched bark. The sunlight catching the sparkle in it's eye while highlighting it's white throat & grey brown plumage as it stands out from the blurred grey green background. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

A good looking nature image posted here. Looks like and sounds like you were very lucky to get this fine shot. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done!
