Good photo of an antique bicycle. The fence posts add interest to the photo. Your focus is very good. The contrast is very good with the grass in the background. I like this photo.

This is interesting. A wagon wheel used as part of a bike. The fence behind it kind of threw me off but then I saw the bike, I love to paint wagon wheels with flowers on them with a cool fence or wall behind them. This is very interesting where it sits there waiting

Interesting information. I used to call these bikes from the 18 century. Lol. They just look so unique and old.

It would have been nice if it sat on a bike rack instead of leaning against a fence so we could get a better look. Of course, it's not yours to move so obviously not your fault.

Im still giving you a five because I think it's captured very well against an old wooden fence.

Exposure is good, the background light is effective. Good job.

Thank you so much for the lovely review Linda. I could not have moved it even if I wanted to, because it was locked to the fence.

Yah I was thinking that too. But it sure would have been nice to capture one photo of it standing straight up. This photo is very nice and I love it. Im thinking for you to have in antique looking frame too. Cool.

Your close-up capture is intriguing. The velocipede is interesting. That it is standing against the trees gives the impression that somebody left it there just minutes ago.
Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of light and color and the refinement of textures and detail. The photo is excellent composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
I also appreciate your interesting comments about the vehicle very much.

Interesting photo with informative notes. Was this photo taken in a museum? Why would anyone use this when safer and alternate modes of velocipedes are available. Thanks for sharing!

Annie,
A beautiful picture of what was called a "Penny - Farthing bycycle" on these two Islands. ( Named because the large wheel compared with the small wheel were in proportion to the difference between the coins of a Farthing compared to an old Penny) I think it must have been difficult to mount it & ride along the rough unpaved roads. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb techniques and sharp focus.

'Velocipedes' like this one were a 'state-of-the-art' recreational device at one time and they were quite popular too.
That's a nicely-presented and very enjoyable picture,Annie!

I loved the snippet of the history of this and the bicycle history and how it is leaning against the fence. Such a great opportunity you had to be able to capture this. Awesome

Your capturing the scene deserves a "5" and the info definitely does. The background with the yellow-green field of grasses and foliage is nice. The front with the logs/wood is a little much, not your fault but it takes away a little from the cycle itself and the lovely background. If somehow it did not feel the space so largely, it might be even prettier.

Very interesting storyline, and what an unique photo. Good detail, contrast and color. It's a nice photo of an antique. Good job. That pretty much sums it up for me.
