This is lovely and a great character shot of this beautiful and smart bird perching sideways on the outside of her "tree." He (she?) looks is superb health despite being so far away from her native homeland. I'd give this a six, and if I remember, I will check if it is still here when I get more 6s in. Great bird portrait! Thanks for sharing!

Fred,
A close up of the Rose-ringed parakeet perched above the nest hole in which I think I can see it's mate's green plumage inside the hole The daylight highlighting it's beautiful green plumage, red eyes & beak standing out from the pale bark of the tree on which it's perched. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that pretty bird and its location. Textures, colours and tones are good. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well taken!

Ummm! Fast work! Just a couple of days ago, I saw her entering her home. I like this lively picture. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good effort!

What a special and witty title. The parakeet is lovely, the face and beak so plain. The trees are behind her so she is well seen. Nice close up of that tree hollow. Nice blue sky peeping through.

You are so lucky to have these guys in your garden. This is another opportunity taken capturing a mother seeking her chick .... the details are clear and the colours are natural. I would have liked to see harder cropping, for the bird to be higher up in the presentation and more to the fore, I am finding all that tree distracting. If it were cropped just above the round rim it would bring your guy forward and let us enjoy all those finer details. I especially like that angle as her head appears enquiringly and you captured those bright red markings which bring the viewer in.
