This is a busy frame to look at. The two coots are well seen but are almost obscured by the leaves and other material floating about.
In any case the young one shouldn't worry since mom is leaving and obvious wake to follow.
Creative diagonal framing, sets a nice tone and easy to look at.

The scene is very busy, and I had to look closely to see the baby. I like the title and how the scene plays out to support the theme. The crop works and lighting is adequate. I might have lightened the landscape to allow the birds to pop a bit.

A beautiful picture of the Coot with her Chick follows her as they swim through the lake, it's surface covered in fallen leaves & pond weed. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
