Soft focus gives the feeling of a fine art painting. The lighting is strong enough to emphasize the red color. Tight crop and a fringe of green finish the scene perfectly. Good definition of the petals.

Well I would think this one would win this contest, the flower is perfect, not defects at all, love the white in certain places to give it a glow of sorts, love the cropping, very nicely focussed
