February 2018 Collage Challenge
The topic for this Mixed Media Photography contest is: FEBRUARY 2018 COLLAGE CHALLENGE. Please note since this contest contains a collage, that is the main reason why it is considered a Mixed Media entry.
SIDE NOTE: This will be a monthly contest. This being the second month. By the end of this year, the entire American Alphabet will have been incorporated into these monthly contests. Your entry must be completed during the month of February 2018; however, your photos do not have to all be taken in February. They could have been taken at any time. AND, yes. You may include one or two previously utilized photos. But most of your photos should be considered "new" type entries. YOUR collage has to be created in February.
For February 2018 you will be utilizing the letters C or D. Your entry will contain a collage of at least 3 but no more than 8 photos. You will select either the letter C or D and take pictures of something that begins with either C or D. If you select C for example, you may either select one item or many items that begin with the letter C.
If you select one item, for example, a Car....take photos of different cars. One car per photo. In your title indicate what the letter you chose and what it is....C is for Car and do not forget to annotate somewhere either in your description or artists notes when you completed your collage. Include the names of the cars you have in your collage... a 2000 GT Mustang, a vintage VW Bug, a BMW, my grandfather's Roles Royce, etc.etc.etc If, however, you decide to choose many instead of just one, then you may take pictures of many items beginning with the letter C. Remember you must have at least 3 photos but no more than 8. As an example, for "many" items, you could perhaps have a photo of a cotton ball, a cinnamon stick, piece of cantaloupe, a cucumber, some carrots and a real chicken. In your title indicate the letter C...Your title can be anything but must include the letter C. For example.... "Items for C", "Beginning with C", "C is it", etc. In your artist's notes, please let us know the items you have in your collage. You can create your collage any way you want...placement of photos, colors, design, with or without frame/border, etc. It is all up to you and your creativeness. Once you complete your collage, please submit by the deadline. Most of all HAVE FUN! Get your photography juices flowing and let us see just how creative you can truly be. Your photos can be unedited, or they can be also a true mixed media photograph, which is a form of art that used software to create art from photographs, or they could just be slightly edited.

The final work of art should be about the topic provided. Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
