on the streets of Kathmandu

A chapter in the book Dragan Effect - various techniques

by Life is but a dream.

Please allow me to tell you about this young man roaming the streets of Kathmandu. He was born into a family who rejoiced at his arrival. A son in Nepal, a boy to love and he was loved, bounced on his grandfather??s knee. He giggled a lot, he was kissed a lot. He grew up to be a rebellious youth, but made his parents proud by finishing school and getting a job as a clerk in the electrical company. He found love as well. He married and his wife gave birth to three children, two girls and a son. Then the Maoist revolution, civil war, came. Twenty thousand people were killed; many are still missing to this day. One day after work this man arrived home to find his wife and three children shot dead. His existence shifted, his world was blotted out. And so he roams through the streets of Kathmandu. Remember when you look at his beaten up face, that once he was loved.
