London Arch (formerly London Bridge) Great Ocean Road had a span closer to the shoreline which collapsed unexpectedly on 15 January 1990, leaving two tourists stranded on the outer span before being rescued by helicopter. No one was injured in the event. We were one day away from the Great Ocean Road on that day taking our three children for a holiday to see the amazing limestone formations.
