The honey-eaters were watching at various points as we wandered through the meandering paths of the wetlands. There were very few other birds around and those that were hid in the tall reeds either building nests for upcoming spring or keeping warm as it was a rather chilly wind. I have purposely left the fauna in this image as in my opinion it adds to the impact creating a natural environment against the little bird, and know full well that some viewers will not appreciate this natural setting.
