I used the title to encourage people to guess who this portrait is about. My favorite author is Mark Twain aka. Samuel Clemens. He had this sense of humor I can relate to. He chose the pen name "Mark Twain" as this means 2 fathoms, or 12 feet. It was the two fathoms deep that river boat captains wanted to hear as that meant a safe depth of water to navigate safely. Twain spent a lot of time on river boats so he would have heard this constantly. The source of this portrait was an image of Mark Twain made from napkins, straws, sugar packets, and several other coffee bar condiments, which in itself was very interesting.
