Two swans fighting over the edge of a weir

Territorial Dispute

This was such a fascinating spectacle to watch these two swans fighting - the territorial boundary was evidently the weir. Their method in battle was to grasp each other's beak and pull as hard as they could - the swan below definitely had the advantage, as it's a lot easier to pull downwards than up! I'm pleased to say that it ended without too much damage done when the upper swan capitulated and swam away upstream, his ego somewhat deflated.
