Two sea turtles casually swimming by. The closer turtle is trying to greet you. This pieces was created in ink. I love to capture the tiniest of details in the textures of the skin and shell, while minimizing the background into simple lines of layered color.

Mixed Media: None | Like%20most%20of%20my%20work,%20the%20sea%20turtles%20were%20created%20in%20ink%20and%20color%20was%20added,%20layer%20by%20layer.%20I%20love%20the%20texture%20that%20I%20can%20get%20with%20pen%20as%20opposed%20to%20the%20smoothness%20of%20a%20brush.%20Often%20I%20will%20apply%20the%20ink%20as%20tiny%20dots%20and%20build%20them%20up%20or%20blend%20them%20using%20an%20alcohol%20pen.%20Sometimes%20it%20is%20just%20layers%20of%20ink%20to%20create%20the%20depth.%20My%20goal%20was%20to%20make%20it%20appear%20that%20the%20closest%20turtle%20was%20coming%20right%20out%20of%20the%20media.
