You are a super amazing artist! This is one of the best drawings I've seen from you -- and that is saying a lot. There is perfection in every detail... the face, the hair, fabric, jewel, and even the hint of a side table. Simply lovely.

6 stars. Your review is so special I thank you for both. The side table was a second thought. I didn't want it to distract. I just wanted to add a dimension. An extension of her focal area. Something to carry the viewer's gaze.

Thank you so much for the 5 1/2 star rating. Thank you for noticing the bodice of the dress. That means a lot to me.

She is a beautiful maiden, no doubt in my mind about that at all. But being ¨in repose¨ is less certain, i.e. I look at her ramrod straight spine and I wonder, ¨Can one be relaxed with such a ramrod straight spine?¨ So, that is why I question the repose part of the title. Otherwise, it is like your earlier work, it is remarkably detailed and enchantingly presented. Contrasts aren´t complete as the dark is more charcoal than coal in darkness. But once again, this is a beautiful woman stretched on the settee and you deserve a lotttt of credit for making it happen.

Oliver, thank you for your review on this piece. I didn't realize that she looked like she had a "ramrod spine" I wanted to make this so soft and ethereal and the thought of a rod of any kind just spoils the whole effect.

sorry for the spoiling. sometimes I just say what I think without monitoring it for appropriateness or anything else. you have been warned :)

Stunning, beautiful, haunting, you have nailed this and I find you skill exceptional. A small thing for me it the 1/2 lamp is a distraction. But please it is just stunning, her pose and face. Dress and poise, just stunning. :)

Dearest 14, thank you for your very hones review. I wanted so much for this to be spiritual, and totally realistic. I am so sorry that there was any kind of distraction.

A highly skilled piece of art, very realistic, with amazing details like a photograph, a great facial expression, and fantastic from head to toe.

I must give this a bonus star for its photo realism finish!
The eyes speaks to me in deafening silence!
The tonal variations & the zone system application render this very realistic.
Fine attention to the minutest details.
Masterful rendering.
Diagonal framing.
Excellent lighting.
Thanks for sharing.

Excellence in all respects. Your pencil work is something to be reckoned with. Always our fantastic detail and depth, and extraordinary handling of light and shadow with that "something else" that is a part of your exceptional style and technique. So much lovely feeling in this image she is a real beauty. Very nice work. Always enjoy viewing your images.

Thank you Patti. I always try to give something extra. Something that comes from the depths. I appreciate you looking at my art and calculating the style. You are a dear friend.

You are most welcome. Your work does have that "extra something" that is yours alone, and is tucked into every work I find that what you do with just the pencil is phenomenal. I love your choice of subjects. I actually find you inspiring.
