Lucien - have seen your comments in various forums which peeked my interest. Trying to do other than tell you what this image evokes in e would be like trying to teach the Pope how to be a good catholic, just so we know off the bat where we stand.
This caught my eyefor several reasons: its not the normal glitzy type Thanks giving creations I have seen here altho they all have a place, I liked the fact that you chose earthy, wholesome food, symbols of 'the bread of life' to portray such an important event in your calendar..I am sure when the tradition originated, that would have been the extent of the food laid on the thanks giving table, so in doing that, you symbolically remind the viewer of the origins of the celebration. The words you chose are a perfect accompaniment - like salt and pepper, they just belong together. Excellent in my opinion.

    Nelia,
I hope you enjoyed my forum posts and the lessons I am trying to offere to help people improve and understand me and my way of thinking, which of course is also an insight into my work. I am pleased that this card made you want to looks at my work and then comment on it, and even the Pope needs to be reminded sometimes, and peeking ones intrest, to share ideas, to teach is what the forums are for, at least in my opinion. Thanks for all your time and efforts I truly appreciate all your efforts in doing all of that.
take care and have a great day... cheers!

Hi Lucien, I take quite a while to do a review - I hate the 'wham, bam, thank you ma'm' reviews to gain a few bonus cents etc, I had a bitch on the reviewing forum now about it - so although not nearly at your level I have a few major gripes at absolute rubbish being reviewed and comments from supposedly top ranked people saying "your attention to detail is awesome and ..not just because this is a technically good photo' when that is utter nonsense and the pic is an out of focus baby got with a big log taking up half the image...gee I am mad ..I rely on guys like BigFuzzy who will be honest and I learn from him. I am not here to have my ego stroked and pull the wool over my eyes to make me think I am good when I am not - my aim is to learn the technicalities and improve my skill...oooh I must be careful...I do read and print out for reference articles from the forum, so thank you for your time and trouble with those, I for one appreciate it!

What an idea! I really like that you didn't used the traditional symbols but bread one of the most basic foods.
I also like that you stay in the brownish colors and the use of this special lighting.
The use of the JFK quote is as excellent as your entire card.

Very nice textures and multiple definitions of the lighting. This is a very uplifting piece and depicting the spreading of art leisure.

This is the first card that I have
seen as an entry to the contest.I must say that it glows with the golden colors
of the many baked good and
I like the fact that you made it
a point to use the staple of
life.Another point that I like is
it is NOT what most people
think of when it comes to the
holiday,it is what people
should think of everyday!
It is a beautiful image and the
quote from JFK could not have
been a better choice.
I would purchase this card in
a heartbeat.It is a wonderful
presentation.Thank you for
sharing and Good Luck in the
contest.
Angelheart :)

A fine composition, lots of detail and texture. I do think I would have made of a plan giving more flying textures to start with. Thanks.
