This is a fine capture.
Good focus and exposure.
Great clarity and framing.
Good center of interest and all the best for the contest.

This is a super capture here and you did a real nice job. I guess the long wait was worth the trouble. I do like this very much.

    Thank you so much, again.

Like the Composition, his head is in center of interest. The grass is distracting, blocks his top knot.

Like the catch light in his eye. Believe it could look better, if brightened a bit. Realize sometimes this lightens it, but adding contrast takes care of that.

That said, a friend taught me almost 70 years ago, practice or experiment and use all ideas or variations possible.
When you are satisfied, quit messing with it, in spite of opinions. :)

If we change it just for someone, those who like it, will not like it. So only change it, if we like it that way.

This is lovely, a beautiful little chap. It has been composed well, the focus is sharp showing good detail in the feathers. The light and colour are spot on showing good technical ability and technique. It has a great centre of interest, great initial impact and has been presented well.

Initial impact; What a grand shot. This bird must be fairly small. Lighting couldn't be better. Action bird eating and watching you.
A bird presentation, yes. Color harmony is all over that bird. Center of interest is this bird. Cropping is good. Focus is tack sharp. Depth of field is working well. Story telling; as a viewer I would like to have had the name of the bird. This looks like it comes from the Jay family of birds.

Thank you so much. This is a male Cardnal.

Just as I was pushing the button with my comments I thought about that. Are Cardnals and Jays from the same family?

No. If you want go to google & type in cardnal. It should tell you everything.

Beautiful cardinal and you have captured it well. Nice detail in the feathers. I like the blade of green grass giving a nice touch of contrast to the red.
