What a great close up of this bird. I love the look of the feathers. It really looks like fur. I love the back with the red and his bill is even red. How neat is that. I Loved this picture!

Really good close up of this bird. I think it would have worked better with a black background as that would have made it really pop being red. Good detail of all the feathers. Good of the beak also and love the look in his eyes.

Great cardinal photo. Perhaps the color is a little too saturated and needs a little more light in the dark area but is a solid five. You could also move it a little to the left as the head tilt and shape of the head is giving a lot of direction to the outside of the photo. Thanks for sharing and good luck in your contest.

To get this amount of clarity he must have landed right on top of you!
Great initial impact the red and black with that pose is what does it. Focus really good and DOF gives a fantastic bokeh.
