You know even if they "hide" the artist info...with one look I'd bet money that Willie did this! If I'm wrong, I can pay you no greater compliment! This is terrific. Excellent color, lighting, focus and initial impact that just keeps on giving! Best of luck in the contest, it should be a slam dunk! Love it!

There are no cardinals were I live so I see the beauty immediately. This guy here seems unusual even for an Cardinal. I have never seen the head feathers standing up like this. Is it the angle that it looks like this?
Anyway besides being beautiful it is humorous. The bird looks as if he is holding a speech and had attended a beauty saloon to get pretty for it. Maybe he just want to be a Cover Bird.
The photo is of technical brilliance. The red is outstanding on the soft green background. Crispness of the image is as impressing as the detail. The square framing is perfect. Best luck for the contest.

Thank you so very much! The cardnal has a top notch, they have it up when they here os see something. He saw my lens. The wind was blowing that day and it blew his feathers.

Thank ypou for the info. I have seen a few Cardinals on our travels and in pictures but never one wit his top notch up like this pointing straight up instead pointing backwards. It must be very exiting to see them daily like this especially when the wind blows. I think it is an outstanding photo. Best of luck.

Yup, that's red, alright! Very nice shot. The green background was a good choice to make the red stand out.
