It looks like an African violet. Mine have this kind of shine on them too. You have done a very nice job composing this, the focus sharp, the background dark enough to keep the focus on the flowers. I also like the green frame that seems to pull it all together.

Nice shot!
I really like what youy have here! I have played with lights like this too! I went outside at night with a flashlight shinning on a flower! You would be surprised!

Thank you very much. It is actually a lot of fun to play around with different light sources. The result is sometimes surprising.

Now if you had waited a little longer, I would have had more stars to give you. This is a great photo and wonderful lighting and exposure. Everything is just perfect and I am not too distracted by the border. Wonderful work and thanks for sharing your creative talent. I so glad you are experimenting with lighting conditions. Keep those pieces of broken mirrors around. :)

Thank you very much. I remeber your advice. I am afraid I have to break one, or get pieces from a hobby shop.

Sorry, I always find a way to break a mirror or two. :) Little pieces or mirror mylar also works and is flexible. Take a few sheets and cut what you want in any shape you want. Use it like a laser beam and you can "split" it and move it all over the place. :) Have fun.
