I like how well the design of the petals stand out in this image. Your framing accentuates the circular pattern of the petals and leads the eyes smoothly into the center while giving the feeling of peeking through the petals to see the center. The colors are very nice too.

once again, I apologies in this delay in getting back to you.
I want to thank you fro your time in looking at my posts, and then sending me you thoughts on this photograph.
I saw the stamen and said, "can I capture that and make it an interesting composition."
I again really appreciate the time you took to look at this image and then your comments on this image.

The variety of pinks here is great and wide with the petals picking the sun's light to give them all shape and depth. Nice detail in the centre of the flower too.

I think this is a good entry for the contest. It is lovely pink color in this rose. The light is good, but would be even better if some of it had reached the stamen, which is sitting a bit in the dark. Also think the petals could be better defined. Your rose is nice and clear with good balance. Nicely cropped. Very nice composition. Good luck with the contest.

If this were a stamen as the start shot I would agree, but it's not, but instead it's about the colors and the various hues of the pinks in the pedals.
