Your unusual use of a black background is very effective.You have retained good detail in the feathers and the highlight in its eye relieves what could have been a blank space. Good luck in the contest. Mitch

A beautiful shot of the bird's head. The detail is great. I can even see that she has a dirty mouth, lol. Actually, I find that fact that she has food on the side of her mouth rather interesting. Sometimes we do go to a lot of work to get "the shot". But when we get it, oh my, it is so worth all of the time and effort.
