The reflection in the ball is my favorite part of this picture. There is a whole new world in there! The bird is also so so cute. Really nice work!!

Hello there, great feathers, colors, details and reflection on the christmas ornament, the framming could have been a bit wider to keep the entire frame of the bird, thank you for sharing, Don Fofo

good clean shot on these quick little fellas. neat contrast with the red christmas ball. Would like to see this with full bird and ball to see how that would look. thanks for sharing

Guess the color would mean danger to the little guy, pretty brave or very hungry to approach it. Good composition and focus once again you have got a good shot.

Beautiful focus as always. Thank goodness there is one photographer we can rely on to get the bird focus right lol. Gorgeous colours. Creative of you to think of the red ball. Great background. Congrats on your overall placement in 2011 too by the way. Yours is deserved.

Absolutely beautiful. The color composition is great and the lighting and clarity of the details of the bird are outstanding. Looks like you could just reach out and pick him out of the picture.Congradulations on such a great photo!

Wow, Willie! I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the focus in your birds anymore, but you still impress me! I mean, talk about flawless focusing (and exposure -- the feathers aren't burned out)! Your composition here is very unique.. breaking a rule with the direction the bird is facing, but it works, since the ornament (and the bird's reflection!) is in the opposite corner, adding a seasonal touch. It is vibrant, but I find the DoF keeps it from being a major distraction. (Huh, I just noticed that I can see you in the ornament as well.. this isn't a big deal since I looked for it, but if you clone out the horizontal dark stripe pointing at the bird, I can pretty much guarantee no one else will notice it.) Beautiful work, and I appreciate the seasonal feeling to it! Thanks for sharing and happy new year!

This is fun with the bird and the red holiday ball.
We can really see the bird well...all the details of his feathers, and his sharpness is a good contrast to the backround blur, and his grey/black/white/blue a good contrast to that big red ball.
good exposure and composition and depth.

Nice sharp image of the little chickadee. I can well imagine the birds do not care for the decorations. But it does provide a nice seasonal background for the shot. Nice composition with good impact. The best of luck in the contest. Thanks for sharing.
