thank you Sam. I recently mailed it to her but no doubt she hasn't received it yet so I'm not sure what she thinks of it and I am anxious to find out what she thinks also

This is just about the coolest pet portrait I've ever seen. The look in his eyes makes him appear very 'knowing'... like there's something up there besides a dog brain. I think this is spectacular, even though I'm probably not the best just of this kind of art as I rarely look at it :-)

It's about time I've gotten around to commenting on this gorgeous little guy here. First off... I love how really this looks! You can tell the differences between the actual photo and the picture, but you have captured his personality and looks so well that one has to make a double take just to see if it is real or not. I adore how you drew the fur in his ears and his cheek fur. It's so realistic and so beautifully made, the highlights are also nicely down and the details on his muzzle just make him just ever more life like. I hope that your friend loves this picture, cause I know that I do <3
