Aren't places like this grand? This would be the only kind of zoo I would allow if I were king of the world! LOL! great light, a sweet story, and nice light, the colors have a way nice "pop" to them against the dark. Donkeyoatey

don't know the species, but they look so sweet, especially the shy one on the left; nice light Brown colors and fine focus;

I love the fact that they have made friends. They actually look like bowling pin ducks. Thank God for rehabilitation centers for animals. Good clarity, and I like the black background.
And I enjoyed your writing also.
Thanks for sharing

If you read my statement in the forum under photography, you should know that only Englishmen and mad dogs venture out into the mid day sun and this is why. The light is too harsh with too much contrast between the sunlit and the shaded areas. Also, the shadows fall straight down which is seldom flattering.
That said, nice documentation on this pair of ducks that have bonded. Overall sharpness is good. The background is lacking, the solid black is not becoming in this one and the bottom is rather distracting.
Nice photo from the social but not technical side.

What a great story on these two and to know they are well cared for. You have them well framed and focused. The shadows are a tad distracting to the details on them but still a wonderful shot.
