No doubt, that the colors on this bird are unique - I would guess some sort of parrot. I like the flow of the green stem like leafs go in the direction of the bird like object.

Wish I could have seen more of the bird.

So cool that you did this. My mind thought of several other creatures before reading your notes. Reminds me of the kids Nat'l geo magazine. At the end they always have a page of squares with pictures like this to guess what it is. Very eye catching, vibrant and creative.

Loll, great question and super image, a natural abstract that no artist could do better as mother nature did on this bird - must be a kind like toucan or kind of - the colors are stunning, the design is exceptional in form and composition, this is art - fantastic find, super piece of the bird so we can mature our brain and think Lol , super camera technique, well done, curious what it is

It's a butterfly wing or a moth with lots of colors in it. At least that's my guess. Does look a little like the head of a bird. Nice close up/macro of this wing. Good shooting Fred and a nice bird identification test. ha Thanks for the view.

It looks to me like the wing scales of an atlas moth. Very nice colors and excellent composition enhances the abstract look.
