A very nice composition showing the wild dog violets!

I love the colors in both the flower petals and the sky.

Watercolor art is something I've never tried and am in awe of those who use this medium.

Hi Doris! Many thanks for your very nice review. Yes, we're having some lovely sunny weather at the moment. We seem to be quite lucky on the East Coast of Yorkshire as we escape quite a lot of rain which the West side of the UK get. Suzanne

This is a very nice composition, odd numbers always seem to work. Nice use of wet in wet technique to diffuse the background with soft foliage tones at the bottom. Good technique used on the violets resulting in a very nice watercolour painting.

Your painting brought back memories of my childhood. I still remember being in south Missouri at my grandfather's place when I first saw a dog's foot violet. I have always loved violets, wild or tame. You made a beautiful painting, with the soft colors and the blue peeking through the clouds. Thanks for sharing.
