A beautiful picture of the mother Giraffe with two of her young running I can hear the thunder of their hooves on the dry ground. The colours make me think it's either dawn or sunset. Created with expert draftsmanship, beautiful choice & blending of your colours to gives that golden hour feeling while creating this wonderful work of art.

Sorry for the delay in responding back to you. I am very appreciative of you having taken the time to look and then comment on this piece of artwork.
Artist markers are what illustrators in advertising use a lot to do color compositions for clients. They are not pencils.
I use them normally to do my pointillism style drawings, in this case I used them more as a illustrator would, bold broad stroke to lay down the colors.

This has an immediate visual appeal-color palette is very pleasing, subtle, works well with very delicate pen and ink drawings in the bodies and the giraffes...they become part of their environment which is delightful. the marker strokes are like an interpretation of Van GOgh. I would not label this a pop art piece but maybe am missing something!. My eye though continues to be drawn to the heavy black ground beneath their feet as the line work is in such sharp contrast to the otherwise delicate lines. To make more cohesive and still build up a more solid footing under the hooves, tiny and delicate ink using the same shapes as in the bodies could have anchored them...or even a darker hue perhaps...for a more cohesive piece. Other than that it is lovely. jean

I think this is a great piece of art. all the giraffe's are all in proportion and all relate well to each other. I like how the sun's rays cascade down to the ground and that there is even a small amount of grass at they're feet, brings the whole image together for me. well donr and good luck
