Stunning detail on initial impact. The colors true to the image, imaginative and creative subject. Thanks for sharing something new and different. Well done.

Lucien - right off the bat, I must say that there isn't anything ordinary about this terrific capture, which obviously shows your artistic eye, and attention to details - I'm very much like that too. Many a times, the seemingly inane things in Life, reward us with a plethora of colors, textures, and details as is the case wtih this great shot. Thank you for taking the time to share. All the best!
Saludos.

Maybe it is just a picture of a rusty old tool, but what an impressive rusty old tool. Love how you have got the clasp, the title of the shot, in focus and the rest is blurred. Love the composition and cropping. Well taken and thank you for sharing.

This is what photography and art in general is all about: to show us and make us see what we miss in the world. Great close up and beautiful colors and texture. Thanks for sharing Lucien.

I wouldn't call that nothing. It is good the see such exquisite photo from you. That reminds people that you are not only a excellent artist, but also an as excellent photographer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your techniques. Your DOF is perfect and your focal right on spot. The detailed view of the rust is very impressive. I even see a minuscule spot where rust broke away. I find it also interesting that some of the writing is included. The colors are refreshing realistic. This is indeed like rust looks. Best luck for the contest!

I really like this shot... it shows us normal folk the art that is all around us. The texture and color mix is fantastic. Shows the aging process that Mother Nature applies to man made objects. Thanks.

Sorry I ran out of sixes, but this is the best image I have seen today. The richness of the rust is fantastic! The framing is simple but well focused on the essential element. It is so simply presented that the beauty perhaps takes a back seat... but not for long. Closer examination notes the depth and saturation of color that is ideal! Great job!
