I absolutely love the beautiful copper color of the water! The lone duck in silhouette provides a lonely feel to this photo. Sharp, well framed with nice texture in the surface ripples. Well done!

Couple of things that bother me here, I know you said its sun set but even so there would have been "some" detail and not a black line across the top, that worry's me because if you try to print it there is nothing to print in that area, the second is I feel the water colour is just a tad over the top.
Having said all that its a great idea for a silhouette.

Nice!! A beautiful silhouette of the duck on the estuary with lovely sunset colors on the water. Well composed photo and a good entry for the contest. Guess this guy wanted to be alone to enjoy the sunset all by itself. Very fine photo and thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

My fist thought was aww poor duck !! But then I seen the beautiful colour of his suroundings then I thought, I bet he is just taking some 'me time' to enjoy that scene and think about his day. We all need that alone time, and why not take it in beautiful surroundings !! Great shot !!!! The colour your captured is goregous and that little silhouette duck is paced perfectly...alone :) Thanks for sharing :)

Colour always impacts on us differently and the warmth exuding from this image is lovely.
I would consider a better crop on this image...and tighter to pop the main focal point out but leave the dark margin of trees in the shot. POV is ordinary albeit appropriate, but if you want to make your image soar above the crowd try changing your POV, bend your knees, lie on your tummy etc.
I am a real sucker for KISS images and think this is very good and has a lot of potential.
